You can select a feature using the mouse by clicking on it or dragging across it on the map. The map layer(s) must be active and selectable. Holding down the Ctrl key while clicking allows you to select multiple features at once. When multiple features are selected a dialog appears with an informational message indicating how many elements on how many layers are currently selected. Click Show Selection to view the selection results. On the dialog that opens, each element type is shown on its own tab.
